Timber-Look Patio Doors in a Gloucestershire Extension

Another project using English Door Company Timber-Look Patio doors with complementary Evolution Flush Windows. This recently built home in Gloucestershire has a brick-built extension at the back, completely upgraded with new windows and doors.

A gorgeous light olive colour finish is used throughout the entire installation and expertly-crafted by us in our advanced Biggleswade factory. The installation includes: a set of French doors with fully glazed sidelights, a three-module casement window, a single back door with a flat casement window to the side, and a smaller two-light casement window.

At the heart of this renovation project are the English Door Company residential and front doors system. We've developed this luxurious door collection to provide patio doors, single doors for utility rooms or kitchen extensions and French doors. The front door designs available perfectly replicate real-wood front doors.

At the back of the house is a set of French Doors with side panels. These come as near as possible to real wood doors with classic styling. Look carefully and you'll see many features that make our residential doors unique in the market: premium grade materials and high-performance safety glass, matching sightlines to door top, middle and bottom rails, timber look shiplap style panels to all bottom sections, textured Black Antique handles to both primary and secondary leaves, and timber-look joints throughout.

Peace of mind timber-look doors and windows

The glazing to all doors is toughened safety glass with a soft-coat low-emissivity coating, warm-edge spacer bars and argon gas fill. Window glazing is not toughened unless otherwise required, but meets high thermal efficiency standards, with the multi-chambered frames providing excellent U-values and performance.

All hardware—including handles and hinges—is colour-coordinated in black, with multi-point locking, internal beading and security-tested design delivering peace of mind across all access points. All windows and doors come with perfectly proportioned timber-look cills throughout. Trickle vents are provided to all products, meeting Part F requirements of current Building Regulations, but in our hidden vent design, making this essential ventilation discreet whilst also acting as a weatherbar.
